Details

This seafront chalet sleeps 4.  It has a great position sitting on top of the sandy berm with stunning beach views towards South Wales and the Quantock Hills. The view from the front of the chalet extends towards Dunster and the moors. The chalet has two sheltered patios, both equipped with tables and chairs.

The chalet has been refurbished without losing the original beach hut character, so there are bare boards in places and rugs /runners. The style combines elements of retro living with more modern facilities. It is designed to be low impact beach-side chalet and a chill zone.

This is a cherished family chalet which we use for our holidays and we are happy to share with others. This means that it has a home-from-home feel, including some family photos which show how the beach lifestyle has changed over the years. Please don’t feel like you are intruding – but if this might not work for you please check out other chalets which are more commercially focussed.

The living room is of a good size and includes a double sofa bed and storage shelves.   A dining table with 4 chairs is also provided plus two Lloyd Loom style chairs. Other facilities include a TV and an FM/DAB radio.  The chalet doesn’t have its own internet connection or a SKY box.

For maximum flexibility there is also a discrete bedroom area [no doors] with two single beds. This area can also be converted into a large double/king-size bed, but if you have mobility problems that option won’t work.

The chalet has a galley-style kitchen with a hob, grill and oven, a microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. Under cupboard lighting is included to assist food preparation and cleaning up.

Off the living room there is a separate wardrobe area and a WC/shower room which has a small shower and sink, a storage locker and a heated towel rail.

The chalet has been insulated and is double-glazed so it is a good choice for a spring or autumn stay. It is heated by convection heater and/or an oil filled radiator.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The chalet is all electric and is fed by a slotmeter which takes £1 coins only. Given increases in electricity prices it is even more important that you bring sufficient coins with you.
  • No bed linen is provided so you need to bring your own bed linen, duvets, pillows, towels and kitchen handtowels.
  • Sorry but this this chalet does not take pets. However, the family pet does visit. Whilst we endeavour to remove all trace of him before guests come, if you are concerned about allergies please be aware of this.
  • Like every chalet this is a no-smoking/no barbeque area.

If you are booking for the first time please consult the chalet ring binder upon arrival which explains how the chalet facilities work best.
