Chalet 257 has been in our family for more than 40 years and has seen some major changes during that time. We welcome visitors from March to October. Some of our regulars have been visiting for over 20 years.

 

The sunny side of the chalet is quiet and peaceful. A restful place to watch the wildlife on the Hawn or the amazing Dunster sunsets.

 

Sleeping accommodation is provided by a full double bed with single bunk above in a separate bedroom and a double sofabed with fully sprung mattress in the living area. All bedding is John Lewis Anti-Allergy brand.

 

This is a chalet for all to enjoy whatever the weather. As well as a TV/DVD player there are books and games for all ages and a comprehensive collection of maps and walking books.

 

We enjoy cooking, so the kitchen is fully equipped to produce anything from beans on toast to a gourmet meal. There is a cafetiere for coffee-lovers.

 

The separate shower room has a powerful electric shower, heated towel rail, basin and

toilet.

 

The chalet is double glazed and fitted with panel heating which keeps it snug in the coldest weather. There is also a fan for summer use. It is situated about half way between the site entrance and the Beach Shop. You can park immediately outside.

 

The beach is just 50 metres away (but it is a lot further to the sea at low tide!)
